  • With this gun being double action only, is it still considered striker fire? Also is it possible to upgrade the double action trigger to a lighter pull weight or change it to a single action?

  • Adrian, Double action is used poorly in striker fired handguns. The striker is nit pre cocked. The hinged trigger to activate trigger pull is referred as double action. This is a striker fired handgun. Not single action or true double action. Double action on hammer fired is one action to pull hammer back, second to release hammer on firing pin. Striker fired the trigger safety releases trigger to be pulled to release striker.

  • Adrian - this listing is incorrect. This pistol, by UPC, is a striker fired pistol - not a double action hammer pistol. Striker fired pistols can not be 'converted to single action'. There are third party aftermarket trigger kits available to lighten and improve the trigger pull on these M&P 2.0 pistols. Example: https://store.apextactical.com/WebDirect/Products/Details/191840.
