  • I always use a pocket holster which covers the hammer. I'm debating which would be better, the Rhino 357 200DS or 200D without hammer for fast draw out of a pocket.

  • Elic. For a self defense pocket carry revolver I always would choose the hammerless or hidden hammer revolver no question asked. Use an exposed hammer revolver at the range. The benefit is so great is why the industry has popularized the hammerless carry revolver.

  • Elic, the hammered version should be fine after a little practice of drawing from your "covered hammer holster". This gives you the benefit of having both single and double action capability. Either works though.
