Love all the data and specs on this rifle on the DelTon website. I believe this rifle is closer to being (almost) 100% mil-spec than the S&W M&P Sport 2. I am undecided but would say you get way more for your money with the 316M. But is the barrel made from 4140 or 4150 steel? Thanks.

Christopher, Del-ton says Barrel material is CMV steel with manganese phosphate finish; M4 profile, threaded.
Del-ton Customer Service should be able to specify which Steel at 910-645-2172 since they do not add this info in their descriptions.
