Ruger Wrangler Silver 4.62" 22 Long Rifle Revolver
Sorry for my ignorance: I'm unsure if this gun has to have the hammer cocked every time its fired? Or can I just pull the trigger? New to firearms here and I appreciate the answer. :)

Yes you do as it is a Single action firearm

Single action only revolvers require the hammer to be cocked for every shot.

Andy, yes Sir, it is a Single Action Only revolver requiring a hammer be thumbed before each pull of the trigger. Cheers and you and yours stay safe!
