  • I am a newbie, so please be patient. Was only able to shoot 4, 2 3/4 buckshot shells due to rules at my local range. Gun did not eject spent shells or auto-load new shells. Since I am a new gun owner, my first guess is that it's operator error. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you

  • Daniel, This shotgun will take quite a few rounds to break in. Get some hotter rounds between 1350 and 1500 fps. Give it a good cleaning and lube. Store it with the action open. Put a couple hundred hot rounds through it like slugs and hi velocity birdshot you will be fine. Hold on to it and get a good tight shoulder mount when firing. Check your buckshot you used it was probably low recoil 1200 to 1250 fps. Check the box. You need hotter stuff for the break in.

  • Daniel, give it a few rounds of manually cycling some dummy shells to break in the action. Also try some other ammunition to rule out a bad lot. Legacy International Customer Service may be able to advise/resolve the issue at Toll Free number: 1-800-5-LEGACY.

  • Hi,
This is difficult to pin point what cause the gun to fail to eject. Plus this gun is rather new to the market so not a lot of info is out there. Lets start with basic, have you try out variety of ammunition? I would different brands and loads to see if the ammo is at fault here. Semi-auto shotgun can be picky when come to what ammo load will works. Secondly, take gun apart to clean and inspect. I know it is factory new and they should clean it, but you should do inspection to see if something looks odd. You also get to learn more about your gun this way. Thirdly, is your bolt too tight? I saw a review of this gun where customer reported bolt to be too tight, preventing him from closing the bolt. Lastly, if all above do not work, contact Legacy about this firearm. For General Product Questions, please e-mail: sales@legacysports.com or call our Toll Free number: 1-800-5-LEGACY. I hope this helps.
