The G2 Research Radically Invasive Projectile (RIP) bullet is a copper hollow-point with the tip of the bullet consisting of eight trocar-shaped petals which, upon impact, act similar to a holesaw. RIP bullets act like a FMJ on impact in solid objects, and as the bullet passes through soft tissue it expends its energy. The design allows for an ease of entry by reducing the deceleration at the point of impact, causing potential energy to be conserved, thus delivering a deadly kinetic energy wave.

I used these in several pistols (Colt 1911, Sar USA K2, and a RIA M1911. The only problem I had was a failure to feed in the RIA pistol. I had the same problem with other ammo, so I don't think it's a problem with this G2R RIP. I can't say how it works as a defensive ammo, but it puts a nice hole in the target.

Did a ballistics test at the range with a gel human torso and that's a very scary round with the petals detached the round and their twin sister civic duty they attached but the diameter of the round was almost 3 inches if you can get your hands on them get em they go fast

These are crazy! I bought a box for home defense and big predator protection when hiking. I haven't shot any, but the bullet design is indeed saying 'RIP'

    There is no "best" bullet design. If there were there would only need to be one bullet. Many law enforcement departments select ammo based on proven reliability in there firearms as well as their work environment (actual self defense situations). The best ammo to chose for your self deference is the ammo that is reliable in your firearm and used by law enforcement.
