Kimber Custom II Overview

In 1997 Kimber introduced the Custom. I’ve owned a couple and shot a few more. The Custom was a great pistol, but knowing that Kimber is an evolving company, you had to know that there was going to be a Kimber Custom II on the way. Well it arrived and no one is complaining. Kimber Custom II is one of the best all-around handguns ever made available by Kimber and has far outsold the Custom to date. The Custom II sets the performance standard for all other 1911 handguns. The obvious upgrades of the lowered ejection port, custom trigger, beveled mag well, extended thumb safety, and the enhanced beavertail grip safety, make it a work of beauty. Custom II’s steel frame is smoothen by a computerized equipment to perfectly balance the tolerances. Such meticulous efforts cause a flawless marriage between the frame and the pistol\\\'s barrel bushings, chamber, match grade barrel, as well as the trigger assembly. The steel slide of Custom II, and the match grade steel 5 inch barrel and bushing, work nicely to deliver this gun’s accuracy shot after shot. Custom II’s fixed low profile tritium sights are securely nestled in a dovetail groove for strength. The edges on the Custom II have been rounded for ease of operation.

The Kimber Custom II was actually a make over of the exact model that Kimber had previously made of the LAPD SWAT team. Kimber has always made sure to produce 1911 pistols to their highest standards.
