Mossberg 590 Overview

Mossberg has made more shotguns, in more applications, for more law enforcement and military groups, than any other manufacturer. The 590 pump action, 8-shot, 12 gauge, is loaded with features that make it the perfect weapon for personal defense. The mossberg 590 has dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, and an anti-jam elevator for a smooth as glass operation. There is a top mounted safety, to ensure ambidextrous operation. Additional available special features include tri-railed forends for accessory lights and lasers, Magpul adjustable stocks and MOE forend, Insight/L3 integral lighted forend, and various sight systems including XS Express and ghost ring sights. Mossberg specialty personal protection models, like the 590, enable even left handed users to still feel comfortable using this shotgun.



All of the models within the Mossberg 500 line, are still very much the same in appearance as the original gun that debuted in 1961. For starters, there is absolutely no substitute for the sound of a pump shotguns slide being racked, to instill fear into everyone who hears it.
