The accuracy, quality and finish of the S&W Revolvers is markedly above the Ruger and is why they dominate ICORE and USPSA competition. I work at a public range and get to see and shoot many and the last Ruger I handled was because the owner could not get the empties out of the cylinder. After some effort we got them out and found that the chambers had not been de-burred and the cases had been held by the burrs. The crane was also not de-burred and cut your hand if you were not careful. The S&W is carefully crafted and beautifully finished.

I'm a Ruger fan myself. S&W incorporates some of Rugers technology in their revolver designs. S&W may indeed be known to have a more refined finish, but the SP-101 is said to be equally nice in this area. Ruger revolvers rarely need to be sent back for repairs, making them great for first time owners and everyone else. I REALLY like the Ruger Revolvers all out toughness and durability. Added grips are easy to get, and will be needed for the 101 IMO. And the GP-100 is outstanding too! How can anyone say anything bad about an improved Security Six? These are both so nice, I'd buy them both if I could.

I've been wanting this gun for awhile & just got it today. It is one of the best .22LR revolver & will serve my purposes of a .22 LR carry gun in the field & many rounds of enjoyment. This Smith & Wesson revolver will also be used to introduce new shooters to handgun shooting. This is one of many transactions with Buds Gun Shop & my first layaway with them.
