No the only version of the LCP thats available with a manual safety is the 22lr version. The Mac also has a version available with a manual safety.

michael M is correct. You need a NJ Firearms ID card AND a separate permit to purchase pistol/handgun in order to take possession of this weapon in NJ. Both must be applied for at your local Police Dept or the NJSP if you have no local PD. Then, you can order from BUDS who will ship to any of their affiliated FFL in NJ.

Without a permit you will be unable to take the gun out of the store. You can have the gun shipped to any gun store in NJ.

Tajjmah - The only thing you'll need to order this pistol from Buds is a way to pay, and the name/information of the local FFL you want to have it sent to for pickup. Once the FFL dealer receives the pistol, you'll go in and complete the background check, pay your transfer fee, and pick up your pistol. The local FFL will take care of all the paperwork for you, as part of the transfer. Of course you must be a resident of New jersey, and must have the pistol shipped to New jersey.

Tajjmah, no you do not. During purchase you will select a local FFL Dealer who will do your paperwork and firearm transfer to you.

Garrett, a Ruger LCP does not normally contain a dash in the serial number. I'm not aware that Ruger ever used a 'dash' for any LCP model. You could contact Buds by phone or the chat feature on this web site, or better yet, contact Ruger customer service at 1 (336) 949-5200, and see if they would verify, but I really don't think any LCP serial number contains a 'dash'. For me this is kind of a specific use pistol, which is summertime pocket carry in beltless shorts, or really where/when ever a really discreet ccw is needed. It's tiny, thin, light and mine has been completely reliable. It's not an easy handgun to get tight groups with beyond about 10 yards or so, and that's really pushing it considering the size, sights and trigger. I can reliably keep the hits within the silhouette at 10 yards but the group is bigger than my hand. I don't mind, since it's not intended for bullseye competition, and I'm a big fan of it for it's intended use.

Exactly what I wanted. Something to put in my pocket when I’m out to dinner or wearing shorts. Trigger pull is long and heavy, but it’s designed that way to be safer for a pocket pistol. Surprisingly accurate for what it is. I was able to get 2 inch groups at 7 yards with good ammo. Fired 50 rounds with no hiccups.

Arrived on time as always. This is the second one I have bought from Bud's and for a guy with big hands, it shoots smooth, and is just big enough to have no trouble, bit small enough to keep in my pockrt everyday! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a pocket pistol! Absolutely love Ruger, and all their products
