I purchased this 20 gauge last year for my birthday gift and wanted to give it a full year of use before I left a review. First things first, the SPX has a solid feel but is lighter than my 590. Due to it being a bit lighter I imagine recoil is a tad bit more stout than a heavier 20 gauge but it is still very manageable. I just got done shooting 2 3/4 inch Winchester slugs this past weekend and they were much softer than any 12 gauge slug I have shot. Accuracy is very good with slugs. I was able to hit 8 inch diameter steel gongs at 15 yards easily. I would feel very comfortable hunting with this shotgun. Patterns are pretty tight with buckshot and birdshot at 5-10 yards. Cycling is smooth and I have never had any issues with ejecting. It is not as smooth as my 590 but still very smooth. I purchased this for a range gun but I would not hesitate to recommend this for home defense or close range hunting. The quality and reliability for the price is excellent.

Purchased new, would not fire. It had a defective trigger group. Sent the gun back to Winchester the first week of January. They do not have the parts to repair. Stated it would be sometime in May before parts would be available. I find that unacceptable. So far very poor experience.

Picked this up as a shotgun for the wife and kids to shoot. Quality and craftsman ship is great. Very light shotty. I saw these advertised on YouTube as self ejecting, the one I received does not eject fully on it's own when shot one handed. Feels very rough when racked. Haven't had time to mess with it, hopefully it's a break in thing or it may need sent back to Winchester because it feels like something isn't right inside. Nevertheless, a nice shotty and a great price. Would definitely recommend. 4 stars because of the resistance when pumped.

This was my first purchase from Bud's: every thing was quick and easy. Picked the gun up Xmas Eve, didn't get around to shooting it until now. (I know, I know). Quick handling, good looking little gun. I read somewhere else one guy had trouble with low brass shells cycling properly, but mine ate a variety of ammo with no glitches. I'm more than happy with this little gun.
