My \'hot weather\' carry pistol has been - - since 2010 - - the original LCP with a Crimson Trace Laser Guard with the modified trigger and recoil spring kit, and a Hogue rubber grip. I have confidence in that pistol, and in my \'point and shoot\' proficiency, and in the the.380 caliber I load it with (Underwood XTreme Defender). When the LCP offered a Max with an external safety, it was time to \'upgrade\' to higher capacity and better sights . . . BUT note that in spite of the increased mag capacity the dimension/size difference between the original LCP and LCP Max is insignificant, the Max is still a very concealable pocket pistol. BudsGunShop made the purchase quick, simple and competitively priced, and the pistol was shipped and delivered to my FFL dealer in a timely fashion. (P.S. - of course, a \'five star\' for me doesn\'t mean it will be a five star for you. Do your research and decide accordingly.)
