This is just an awesome gun! I am not the best shot with a pistol, so I wanted a bit heavier gun (steadies my arm a little) and 5\" barrel. This fits the bill.
The additional features over a basic 1911 are well worth the extra $150-200. If you customize a basic much at all you will end up spending that difference and probably more anyway.
A good friend and gun expert was super impressed by this gun.
Look at the ratings, whew!
