  • Been using these about 6-7 years and love them. I shoot both smooth barrel and rifled. In a rifled barrel they will shoot 1-2- inch groups at a 100 yards and are devastating. I shot a little 12 point whitetail last year and the damage was like my 30-06 or 300 Wby. Now out of the smooth bore they are about the same as foster slugs, just faster. I only get about 4-5 inch groups with these in my smooth bore. There is zero damage to your bore because instead of lead, you just have a plastic sabot, much like a regular shot cup sliding down the barrel. I love these so much I bought 5 boxes at once because I sometimes hunt on a military base that is shotgun only. I use them for both deer and elk, but have not shot an elk yet with them.

  • The projectiles will tumble unless you give them some spin. Foster style and Brenneke slugs will work.

  • It will be slightly less accurate but will fire just fine. Will still be minute of deer out to 100yds.
