The barrel is 223 Wylde which I heard can shoot 5.56 nato or 223. I read so much thing about it from different online reviews which some said if 5.56 it may damage my rifle or me and the other said, it's better to use 223 ammunition. One said because it's a 223 wylde that I can use both 223 and 5.56 ammunition. Can some one help a newcomer to the world of AR 15, am ignorantly, in need of education on which Ammunition am suppose to use. Thank you big brother's and sisters.

When it says that the mag is fixed. Is it the style where you open the upper it drops in from the top? If I don't live in CA would it be easy to remove and go back to standard mags or is it a permanent feature?
