One person indicated it shot high so they filed the sight. They must have filed the rear sight, not the front. Lowering a front sight will make it shoot higher. Sighting rules: move front sight in direction of ERROR, move rear sight in direction you want round to go.

The Springfield site for this model number shows one picture with a Hellcat-like rear sight (white U), and another picture either all black serrated rear site. There is no picture here at Bud’s of the rear sight. So What is the rear sight like?

I understand in California, as long as you have your hunting license and Firearm Safety Certificate, you can own a .22 Long Rifle, or a shotgun under 21, is that correct? In additional to that, can the .22 Long Rifle be semi-automatic, or are we only allowed to own single action .22 long rifles?
