Story to repost. I’m building out a 223. I bought a new take off barrel a few months back. It is matte black. I figure a receiver should match color wise, otherwise it would look strange. I called Remington customer service and they said it’s black, ergo I’m left scratching my head. The “blue” I’m familiar with is the somewhat shiny color of my old 1970s BDL not the black of my take off barrel or my Colt AR. am just trying to match up with my barrel. Apologies in advance.
