Can this rifle be purchased with a straight magazine. They had a round (circular magazine) that was difficult to load. If they can be ordered with the straight magazine, could that mag have a thumbnail pulldown, which would make it easy to load?

Is the fit and finish good for a medium budget AR build? Color of Grip and Ambedextrious safety is black? Its hard to tell in the picture on Buds web site. Im Using a Anderson Manufacturing stripped lower and upper and putting the bigger $ in the bolt carrier group, barrel and magpul furniture. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

For those who have this gun in FDE... what color is the barrel? The pictures on Springfield.com and here show a black barrel, but when I Googled “PI9229F” some had silver barrels. The black barrel is much nicer looking.
