Per the specs in Colt's webpage ... https://www.colt.com/detail-page/colt-competition-plus-80 ... this model has a 5.0" barrel length. Doesn't the term "compact" in a 1911 generally mean that the barrel length is less than 5.0"? ... or does "compact" also refer to a difference in the frame size? Thanks!

I recently purchased a M&P 40c from buds and it was purchased brand new..when I got it I noticed the envelope that contains the test fired casing said August 2015.i bought the gun 3 weeks ago.liiked it over it looks new don't see any barrel wear etc I just find that a bit odd.i doubt buds kept a new pistol on the shelf for 5 years.i don't remember it saying used before I pressed the add to cart button either..idk I'm a bit baffled 🤷

Is anyone able to get any dealers on this site? I have entered 5 different zip codes around the country and I cannot get even 1 dealer to show up on the list. My local dealer says they have facilitated many transfers from Buds, but they don’t show up on the list nor does anyone else. It comes up blank every time.
