My wife and I will be living in our RV fulltime when she retires. Looking for something in a semi-auto hand gun. Nothing too big, I don't want her to be afraid of it. Something that maybe we could hide in our RV. I have a budget of about $500. We do live in the Communist State of New Jersey. Nothing over a ten round magazine.

Hello, I am looking to purchase a Ruger AR-556 (which shows to be in stock.) My worries are, the reviews on google seem to be less than expected due to lack of customer service and some of which being firearms arriving damaged or scratch.. my question is, if I order my Ruger AR-556, and have it transferred to my local FFL - if I examine it on site and mine is damage and I refuse the transfer.. will it be sent back and replaced with a better one without scratches or damage or what happens then?

I live in Texas and have never been arrested, no mental illness, not an addict, etc. I bought a gun today and it is being delivered to an FFL. My question is does the FFL do the background check or should I have done that prior to buying? I’m a little embarrassed to ask this but any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
