so with no warranty. shooters choice, been asking around most say u can shoot 7,62x51 due to less cup or psi. pressure...oanyone looking to purchase this rifle mine is a shooter used pmc bronze 147 gr for test and scope sight in, took a scope off another rifle I had mounted on the ruger and shot I in left of center with 5 shots group about the size of a nickle off the bench at 30 yards, adj scope used Win 150gr power pt, 3 shots1in 2 were dime size center im happy

I checked with ruger they say 308 only and what ever is on the barrel and manual, which states 308 win. mine is stamped.308, per ruger might be for warranty related. but I do see a lot of people claim its safe, ok per say my cz is marked 556 and can shoot both 558 or 223 rem, so is this the same for lager center fire rifles ir rugers or other brands, if the barrel is marked 7,62x51 its ok to shoot.308 win except in semi auto Except a rolling block bolt like the cetme or hk ..
