I'm looking to get my 7 year old boy his first rifle. Based on my research thus far, I'm close to settling on the Savage Axis XP .243 Youth. https://www.budsgunshop.com/product_info.php/products_id/104489 With a scope (Weaver 3-9x40mm) is about $110 more than w/o the scope. Is that scope any good? Would I be better off buying the gun without a scope and spending that $110 on a better scope? Any scope recommendations in that price range?

People always say don’t shoot a 556 from a 223 gun. So is it okay to use this 556 cleaning kit for my 223 rifle? Will there be any damage to my rifle? I know it’s one thing shooting the rounds and another just cleaning but I don’t know maybe the bristles are tougher because the 556 is a more powerful round. I hope this makes sense.

I have a 22 magnum kel tec PMR 30 handgun. Since this round doesn’t have a traditional shaped bullet do you think it would cycle with minimal issue out of my semi auto? I haven’t seen any videos of that. I want to buy this ammo in bulk to save some cash. Thanks.
