Hello. I am interested buying a Rem 700 SPS Varmint in .308 with 1:12 twist and 26" heavy barrel. Does the rifle have free float barrel. Can I start out using the standard 150 surplus ammo for practice match shooting? Also what is the best bullet weight for this rifle if I get serious in match shooting down the road

I would like to purchase a pistol online and do a transfer via an FFL shop locally. I wonder if my package is kept sealed at the FFL shop until I come to open and inspect it. Do the FFL shops have the right to open the package without my presence? I just wanted to make sure nothing is done to the gun or the gun is used for any purposes without my knowledge. Thank you. I still don't see the purpose of this weapon. If I'm at home and have the room for a shoulder weapon, wouldn't a tactical shotgun be better? I've heard some call it a truck gun, but again, wouldn't a good pistol work better? It would be much easier to maneuver. This also takes 2 hands. With a pistol, I could keep firing while using 1 hand to drive if needed. In every situation I can think of a better defensive weapon. Why limit yourself?

Maura Healy, the MA AG, banned all "AR-15 and AK-47 type rifles, components and clones in her infamous proclamation. How the heck is this legal in MA? Does it have a fixed magazine or something? Thanks for any info. We are stuck buying either SCARs, ACRs, CZ Brens, and Sig MCXs at 2-3 grand a piece, or a pre '94 colt which our 2A "gun friends" are selling at the same price, or more, as a brand new Sig MCX Virtus or even a SCAR 17. A used Colt HBAR for $3200.00. Would you ever have imagined?

Why is the eligibility for free shipping on ammo bouncing around? I built a cart and was about to check out when some of the items I put in that qualified for free shipping yesterday no longer qualify. Will they come back up again possibly or are they not on the list. Quite economical ammo when purchasing with free shipping, not so much when having to pay the shipping on the ammo.

I asked my hunting buddy if he thought this was legal due to the similarities with the ksg, he seems to think since it fires twice before you pump that its semi auto, while that's kinda not true i do kinda see where he is coming from but as to the legality of it in our state i'm unsure and have asked this question on a few forums but no response surprisingly. I don't really see why this would not be legal but maybe someone knows more than me you know, better to be safe.
