Considering buying one of these CVA rifles either the standard blued version, or the Scout with the muzzle brake. 2 part questions knowing how light it is does the muzzle brake tame the felt recoil, and in the 45-70 chambering are the scope rings and base a one piece unit or can i use any Weaver style rings or sight on the base on the stainless steel scout or standard blued model? Which position is safety on, up or down? I have a M&P 45 and when the lever is up its in safety mode which I usually inadvertantly push safety because of grip. I do not like the safety being in the up position.
