Just got a SCY CPX-3 and when gun is empty and no magazine there is a slight rattle from thin metal ejector. When a full magizine is loaded, without bullet in chamber gun rattles even more. rattles when you carry it on your hip. Less rattle if bullet is chambered. Has anyone elese experienced this with SCCY guns? Called SCCY and they state rattle is normal. Not much of a CC gun if it rattles as you walk.

I'm looking for a "Compact" 1911, in .45 ACP Just something a little easier to carry than my full size. I know I'm opening a HUGE can of worms here asking about 1911's. But, all things considered. Opinions on a good "compact" 1911? I'll toss out a few things. Not a fan of Kimber. Way too pricey.. I love SIG, but, I'd never buy a SIG 1911. Again, at that point I'm just paying for the name SIG. Not like buying a 226 etc. It's a 1911. Good frame, good barrel. The rest, I can do.

Is there a list of compatible magazines? During freedom week in CA I bought random magazines. I got some S&W mags like the 3000247 15 round mag and the 3007345 17 round FDE mag. Would either of these fit in the SD?

Is the Desert Eagle 50AE 6-in an adequate handgun for protection when hiking or exploring and living in Western bear country (not bear hunting), assuming 50AE hardcast? The big, high velocity revolvers (.460 XVR or .500 S&W) have more power but only 5 rounds vs. DE 50AE 7+1 SA semi (faster follow up shots)
