The S&W Model 617 4 inch is described as stainless/silver finish. The frame and barrel are described as stainless leaving the cylinder to be "silver" or aluminum. If so this appears to be a model 617-A. Is the cylinder aluminum? I am not concerned with whether the cylinder is strong- I worry if over time it will continue to match the barrel etc.

Hi, thanks for all the great answers I've received from the community so far! My question with this little dude is, does it come with a .22LR conversion cylinder? I know Bud's usually has the best prices in guns, that this listing is $50 more than other websites offer, but if it comes with a conversion cylinder, that instantly makes this best deal. Considering the NAA-PUG-TP retails for $415, with Tritium sights and ported barrel, add in a conversion cylinder and voila!
