I’m working on collecting a full set of Ruger Wranglers. Don’t judge;) The problem I’m running into is how similar some of the colors are. Short of taking my existing collection shopping with me so I can lay them side-by-side, is there a way to identify the colors by the SN on the gun? If I’m buying a used one there often is NOT a box or the luxury of that way to ID them. I emailed Ruger about this and got a generic Robo answer. Thank you!

I know with sometimes moon clips are not required in revolvers for rimmed rounds like 38.. However I know for some semi rimmed rounds (like 9mm) moon clips are required to use in a revolver (outside of Charter Arms and an old SW model). What about this Ruger revolver? Are moon clips required? Or could I load and eject these without moon clips?
