looking at this pistol, the rail seems very short, probably even too short for most compact lights on the market. Does anyone know the rail length on this model, or would I be better off waiting for the full size to come back in stock if I want to mount a light for home defense. just thought it would be nice to get the compact for occasional carry.

I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how thick the grip is on this 15 round .45? I'm familiar enough with a 10 round .40 or 15 round 9mm but I haven't been able to find one of these locally to see for myself. I received my California PFEC and it stated that I was eligible to both possess and purchase a firearm. I know the next step is for a dealer to check NICS, what do they check for. I've never had a felony and not under indictment for any crime. Can you check the NICS system to purchase a firearm? Honestly I had a 5150 in 1990 but it was due to drugs and wondering if that will come up in the NICS check?
