Can this firearm be modified (after purchase) so the magazine is fixed and how is this accomplished? Has anyone done this modification? I know AR-15 and AR-10 firearms can be so modified easily but this firearm is configured differently. The Thompson would be illegal in Connecticut because of the pistol grip under the action unless it had a fixed magazine. Please don't answer hypothetically, I need an actual hands on answer.

Ruger's website says the barrel length is 22". Your description has it as 18.5". Which length is correct for the rifle you are offering for sale.

I love this gun, but the holes in the side saddle seem too small for my 12 gauge shells. Can’t get them to fit. Tried from top and bottom, but no luck. Any advice?

From what I've seen I'm thinking the 93R17BTVSS has a Stainless Steel Receiver and the 93R17BTVS does not. Is this correct or do both have S/S Barrels and Receivers. When I purchase I do want both to be S/S. Thanks so much for any and all help with this. Dennis
