I've seen reviews saying it's very good, but I've also seen the same said about budget rifles. I would like to know if this rifle is worth the money, and if it will last. I was originally looking at a Mossberg Patriot in .308 with a walnut stock, but if for only a few hundred dollars more I can get a way better rifle that's what I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I bought this rifle during our last election when everybody thought you wouldn't be able to buy them much longer. I paid about $1,100.00 for the gun. The sport II appears to have the same specs for about $500.00. Why is this?

I understand that this comes with a modified choke for shot shells...manual states not to fire with slugs without a choke, as it will damage internal threads...what choke should I use for slugs? Thx
