This is a 45-75 rifle and not a 45-70. Ammo must be 45-75 as 45-70 ammo cannot be used. The 1876 was never rifled for the 45-70 cartridge. Uberti makes them in the 45-60,45-75 and the 50-95.

I have talked to a firearms shop dealer, and he said I am able to switch the dummy (5 round) magazine tube out for the 7 round magazine tube without any legal problems. Is this true? Is there more to it?

Just bought RCM 300, bolt is not the least bit smooth and once mounted the scope rings that came with gun can not be zeroed with any of my scopes. This seems to be a very poorly made gun. Like the ballistics. Looks like a mistake. Anybody have comments?
