I'm curious if this slides over the buffer tube and is tightened down using what appears to be a set screw. Or, do I need to take off the Castle Nut and the buffer tube assembly for this sling mount? Thank you.

I have recently purchased the Springfield .9mm 1911 RO Elite Model. The fiber optic on the front sight keeps breaking/falling off. I am ready to change to a regular 3 dot sight system. I would prefer like a red dot up front and white in the rear. Any recommendations. Also I have been told with that model gun, it needs to be a Novak style. The size is .330 by 60 degrees. I understand this only fits the 12ga Shockwave models. With that said, do *all* compatible 12ga Mossberg Shockwave models come pre drilled and tapped from the factory so they are ready for this Crimson Trace accessory? In other words, if I purchase a Shockwave model #50659 can I expect it to come with a drilled and tapped receiver from the factory?
