Is the fit and finish good for a medium budget AR build? Color of Grip and Ambedextrious safety is black? Its hard to tell in the picture on Buds web site. I have an opportunity to pick up this rifle brand new for $600.00. the thing is the handguard has been damaged significantly. If I get this rifle, I was under the impression to switch the free float handguard that some have their proprietary nuts, and others us that factory installed GI nut. Does anybody know what steps I have to take to swap out the handguard without having to spend the 400 buck discount on sending it back to bushmaster for replacement? I'd like to do it myself if possible.

i just bought a WMD AR 15 with a 16" barrel and a nine inch hand guard, WMD LW BEAST 5.56 NATO 16 NIBX 30. I want at least a 12 " handguard to match but there is no badging to see who made the hand guard. I think it is stock from WMD but their website doesnt show this style and I want to match the color because of the NIBX coating...any help would be appreciated..thanks
