BudsGunShop.com - Blemishes on new pistol
-
-
I recently purchased a new Seecamp 32. I noticed several blemishes on the slide. It looks like the top of it was struck with a nail, there is a piece of metal gouged out in the side of it as well as a small dent. I reached out to Seecamp and was told this by their manager, Jennifer Whalley: “ We cannot replace your slide for these marks. The one on the side of slide and by the extractor are just part of the casting and there is nothing we can do about them.”
Is her response legit?

Hi Erick, unfortunately yes. Seecamp's quality control and customer satisfaction leaves a little to be desired. This is why it's important to inspect the gun at your FFL before you take possession. You could have returned it, but once you take possession, it is out of Bud's hands.
