What series is the trigger?
Hi Carl and welcome. This model uses a Swartz Safety (similar to a Series 80 but does not affect trigger pull like the 80). I much prefer Series 70 1911's, bar none. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Kimber 1911 Custom LW Shadow Ghost 45 ACP Pistol
it is a Swartz-type safety not a series 70 or 80 the swartz safety is a safety that blocks the firing pin from moving forward. When you grasp the pistol, the grip safety raises a rod that moves the block out of the way of the firing pin. Therefore, this safety does not affect the trigger pull unlike the series 80 trigger
