Hi Martin, normal shipping time is 3-7 days after payment. Remember, weekends & holidays are not business days. Once shipped, hand guns are sent 2nd day UPS, so you're looking at 5-9 business days until the gun arrives at your FFL. (Check, MO, e-check add another 5 days)
It is not necessary to contact the FFL, but if it is the first time using that FFL, I would recommend calling and letting him know you have a gun coming, then you can ask any questions you may have and there will be no surprises.

Hi Martin and welcome. Normally a 5-business day average. You don't need to contact the FFL as Buds forwards your contact info and the FFL will contact you. I contact my local FFL just so they know I have incoming order. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
