I Live in Cook County Illinois . I know I have to pay a transfer fee but do I pay shipping, sales tax and some unknown fee for buying a handgun in Cook County ?

No sales tax or shipping or other fees from Buds. There is a $1 per $100 charge for (optional) insurance.

No sales tax or shipping fee from Buds. There is a $1 per $100 charge for insurance. So just the insurance and your FFL's transfer fee John.
