  • Does anyone have experience with the Browning Maxus 2? Is there really a difference between the wicked wing series ad the camo series? All I can see is that you get the goose band choke tubes and the cerakote finish. I'm just wondering if its worth going with the wicked wing cerakote over the camo wrap version.

  • Hi Timothy and welcome. There are not much internal differences at all. In short, the differences overall are more cosmetic. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

  • The Browning Maxus 2 Camo and Maxus 2 Wicked Wing are both semi-automatic shotguns, but they differ primarily in their appearance and target use. The Maxus 2 Wicked Wing is specifically designed for waterfowl hunting, featuring a Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish, while the Maxus 2 Camo comes in various camouflage patterns. Both models share the same underlying design and reliability.
    Maxus 2 Wicked Wing:
Appearance: Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish on the receiver and barrel.
Target Use: Designed for waterfowl hunting, especially suited for the moisture and abrasion of duck blinds.
Features: Large bolt release for easy handling with gloves, soft flex cheek pad for comfort.
Pros: Durable Cerakote finish, reliable gas system for heavy loads.
Cons: May not be the ideal choice for all-around hunting due to its waterfowl-specific finish.
    Maxus 2 Camo:
Appearance: Available in various camouflage patterns like Realtree Max-5.
Target Use: Suitable for a broader range of hunting activities, including waterfowl and other game.
Features: Realtree Max-5 camo, soft flex cheek pad, rubber overmolding for grip.
Pros: Versatile for different hunting environments, camouflage options.
Cons: May not have the same specialized durability as the Wicked Wing.
In summary: Both the Maxus II Camo and Wicked Wing offer the reliability and performance of the Maxus II platform, but cater to different hunting styles and preferences. The choice depends on your specific hunting needs and preferences for.
