  • Hi Lance and welcome. Mil-spec. The Freedom Ordnance FX9 carbines, specifically the 16" and 18" models, come standard with a mil-spec buffer tube. The shorter barrel models (4", 8", and 10") come with a pistol receiver extension instead of a buffer tube.
