I am looking into buying a JCR takedown 9mm rifle and was wondering if it is classified as a rifle or pistol?

I would say it classifieds as a rifle. Any gun with a barrel over 16 inches in length classifieds as a long gun and any gun with a barrel shorter than 16 inches classifieds as a handgun. Hope this helps.

It's a rifle. Barrel over 16in and it has a stock.
