Hi Robert, there is no test necessary to purchase from Bud's. If your state requires a test, you would need to do that separately before taking possession from your FFL. Without knowing your state, it is impossible to give accurate information.
If you are talking about the background check, that is done at the FFL when you go to pick up your gun.

Hi Robert and welcome. Once the firearm is ordered, it is shipped to the local FFL Dealer that you choose, who will call you in when received to do the necessary paperwork and they will run the NICS background check which only takes a couple of minutes. Once cleared you pay the transfer fee, usually between $30 to $40 and then you take your new tool home. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

You do the NICS background check at the firearms dealer that you have the order shipped to from Buds when you pick up the firearm!

You would need to do the background check at the FFL dealer that you are having the firearm shipped to, Bud's does not do the background check for online sales, they sell the firearms and ship them to a licensed firearm dealer who does the NICS check when you pick up the firearm.
