BudsGunShop.com - Serious jam

My Target II was running 115 FMJ with no issues. I had a few light hollow points that I thought I'd try....big mistake. The gun fired one round and locked up. I was able to remove the mag but the slide is locked up about a quarter of an inch out of battery. There is a round in the chamber and I believe a double feed. I can't release the spring tension on the two piece plunger. Totally locked up....help if you can. Any ideas how to free this action? Probably off to a better gunsmith than me.

You have what is called a hard jam. Take it out to the range, barrel pointed downrange for safety, tightly hold the slide in your weak hand and use the web of your open strong hand to forcefully hit the grip and move the lower forward. Here's a youtube video of the process.
