Your barrel length will determine your sight in distance for up to a 200 yard deer gun Daniel. Most boxes list velocities for a 24 inch test barrel so you will need a real world velocity for any 45-70 Govt load you use. I would sight your gun to shoot whatever load you use for 150 yards (Max distance you specified) and you will have slightly less than a 5 inch kill zone out to 200 yards. I would fire a 50, 100, 150 and max 200 yard group and record the bullet point of impact and tape the point of impact relative to the target in inches on the butt of your rifle. Then you will know the exact hold to put the round in the "Boiler Room" whether the deer is 50 through 200 yards. (If you follow this method, it doesn't matter the load or velocity).
do you mean 45-70 if so you would be good to around 150-160 (4 inch or so drop) yards. after that forget it 180 yards 10+ inches drop
With the 325 grain Leverevolution ammo you can sight 3 inches high at 100 yards and hold dead on out to 150 and hit a 6 inch kill zone with no correction.
