BudsGunShop.com - Trigger pull weight and warranty
-

I am considering buying a new Python 5" revolver, but am hesitant because I read in the description of the gun that it has a 6lb. trigger pull weight. This seems excessive for such a fine made revolver, even though it is a post 2020. I would like to hear from owners of these post 2020 revolvers about your experience with such a trigger pull weight.
I also would like to find out what Colt's warranty is on this firearm.

Hi Charles and welcome. The warranty is one year from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship, but it is non-transferable.
What to know about the Colt Python warranty:
Coverage: The warranty covers defects in original factory materials and workmanship.
Duration: The warranty is typically for one year from the date of retail purchase.
Transferability: The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners, according to Colt's Manufacturing LLC.
Exclusions: The warranty does not cover issues arising from improper handling, neglect, corrosion, unauthorized modifications, or the use of incorrect ammunition.
Inspection at Purchase: It's important to carefully inspect the revolver at the time of purchase to ensure its unloaded and undamaged, as Colt cannot control handling after it leaves the factory. The trigger pull weight is around 4lbs Single action and 7lbs Double action as I tested. Cheers and stay safe!
