Unfortunately, the KRISS KV903CBL03 cannot be purchased by residents of Illinois due to the state's "Protect Illinois Communities Act" (PICA), which bans the sale of what are considered "Assault weapons".
Hi Brian and welcome. Unfortunately, no Sir, as it is classified as an "Assault Weapon" in the state of Illinois. Cheers and stay safe!
Sorry Sir Brian.
The KRISS KV903CBL03 cannot be purchased by residents of Illinois due to the state's "Protect Illinois Communities Act" (PICA), which bans the sale of assault weapons.
The KRISS Vector CRB (KV903CBL03) is a semi-automatic rifle with a detachable magazine that features a pistol grip and an adjustable stock. These characteristics classify it as a prohibited assault weapon under Illinois law. There is no factory-made KRISS Vector model that is compliant with Illinois's "Protect Illinois Communities Act" (PICA). The standard design of all centerfire KRISS Vectors includes features like a pistol grip and adjustable/folding stock, which are explicitly banned on semi-automatic rifles in Illinois.
Even the "50 State Legal" or "California Compliant" models that KRISS USA produces are not compliant with Illinois's stricter law. California-compliant versions typically have a "fin grip" to disable the pistol grip, but Illinois's PICA also bans the standard pistol grip design outright. Sorry bud ...I feel your pain. Hopefully things will change in the future for us.
No sir, this particular firearm is prohibited in Illinois.
Hi Brian, unfortunately no, due to the barrel shroud. Prohibited -
A. A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine or that may be readily modified to accept a detachable magazine, if the firearm has one or more of the following:
i. a pistol grip or thumbhole stock;
ii. any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;
iii. a folding, telescoping, thumbhole, or detachable stock, or a stock that is otherwise foldable or adjustable in a manner that operates to reduce the length, size, or any other dimension, or otherwise enhances the concealability of, the weapon;
iv. a flash suppressor;
v. a grenade launcher;
❌ vi. a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel.
