  • Has anyone here used a Left IWB holster to function as a Right OWB holster? If you have can you please share if it works? There are very limited style OWB right sided holsters for a specific firearm that I have in a specific color that I want. Thanks and hope to hear all your feedbacks please.

  • Good Morning Steph,
It works for me. This is the configuration I'm currently carrying. It was difficult for me to find a good right side OWB for qualification purposes thats within a reasonable price range. I agree with other Team members that it's best to test out in safe environment before applying on a daily EDC basis.
Please take care and stay safe 🙏🏻

  • As long as it will remain securely in place on a good gun belt, you should have no issues at all!!

  • Hi Steph and welcome. It will work no issue. The caveat is to make sure your carry belt is of sufficient height and thickness to properly support the holster from being too loose fitting for owb right side carry. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

  • Yes it will work just fine. Best thing is to try one on for comfort purposes. Happy shooting!

  • Hi Steph, generally, a left-handed inside-the-waistband (IWB) holster can be used as an outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster for a right-handed shooter. While many users find this method effective, it is essential to test the comfort and stability of the holster when worn in this manner. Some users report that it combines the concealability of an IWB with the comfort of an OWB. However, individual experiences may vary, so it's advisable to try it out in a safe environment before relying on it for everyday carry.
Stay safe & have a great day!
