By installing a Pearce magazine grip extension, you can use a Glock 23 magazine in your Glock 27 for a flush fit. When a standard Glock 23 magazine is inserted into the shorter Glock 27 frame, the base extends past the bottom of the grip. The extension bridges this gap, providing extra grip length.

The Pearce extension bridges this gap, giving the gun a "factory" look and providing extra grip length for your hand. You can also use a full-size Glock 22 magazine in your Glock 27 with an adapter, though the magazine will still extend past the grip. Some users prefer this for the added ammunition capacity and improved grip.

Here's a Flush fit magazine for the G27. As mentioned though, any extension will drop the magazine base outside the magwell.
