Steven Im sorry to say that
unfortunately NO, you cannot pay for a gun and have your brother pick it up from a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). Federal law prohibits this type of transfer, as it is considered a "straw purchase," a serious felony. The person who will be the actual, ultimate owner of the firearm must be the one to complete the paperwork and pass the background check. Another simpler option is to buy a gift card from a Las Vegas gun store. Your brother can then go there, select and buy a firearm himself, completing the legal process.
Hope the above information helps Steven Sir, please take care and stay safe.
yes it is legal but some FFL holders will not do the transfer the easiest way is to get buds gift cards and have him order the gun
Hi Steven, Trevor is technically correct. But this is taken from Bud's FAQ page - "Due to firearm regulations the customer name must be the intended recipient of the firearm, meaning no one can pick up the firearm but you--the actual purchaser. If this information doesn't match, your order can be delayed or canceled with fees. Simply put, no one can accept transfer of a firearm except you, the actual buyer.
If you would like to purchase a gift for someone, please purchase a gift card from our website. You will be able to access a printable copy from your Bud's account or email it directly to your intended recipient. Then, the person you are purchasing the gift card for can apply the gift card code to their account, under their name."

I would ask the FFL who you plan to have it shipped to.

Stay safe & have a great day!
Just remember if you purchase a gift card, you don’t get the cash price. You get the additional approximately $30 credit card price. I purchased a firearm that they didn’t have in stock but showed that it was. I opted for the gift card and lost approximate $30 when purchasing another gun. Give him the money plus tax, shipping insurance, and transfer fees.
Good evening to you!! Unfortunately no. The person who buys the gun must be the person who picks it up and fills out the forms. Hope this helps have a good rest of your day.

No sir, but you could send them a giftcard from Bud's and they could make the purchase there. budsgunshop.com/search.php/type/buds+gift+cards Happy shooting!
No one can accept transfer of a firearm except you, the actual buyer. SO, your best bet here is to gift your brother a Buds gift card in the amount necessary to purchase the rifle. He then can purchase & accept transfer with NO issues whatsoever!!

To legally gift a firearm to someone in another state your brother chooses a licensed gun store (FFL) in Las Vegas then you buy the gun from your local FFL, who ships it to your brother’s chosen FFL in Las Vegas. Your brother visits that store, fills out paperwork, and passes a background check. If approved, he can pick up the firearm.

That is considered the proper way to have a firearm given as a gift, yes. The FFL paperwork is concerned with verifying the identity of and checking the background of the person actual receiving the firearm, which if done this way should be the correct person.
Potential issues are when individuals buy firearms and have them transferred to themselves before immediately giving them away as a gift, as there is a potential for the receiving person to be prohibited from owning firearms for whatever reason that may have come up if they had filled out the background check paperwork themselves.

Hi Steven and welcome. At Bud's the purchaser's account would make you the person to pick up for ownership. An option is obtaining a Bud's gift card in the total purchase amount so your brother could purchase it in his own name. He would simply create an account at Buds and make the purchase, and Buds would send it to a local FFL he chooses in Las Vegas. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy! budsgunshop.com/search.php/q/gift+card
