What’s the return policy if there are no defects, the gun just is not what I hoped for once I have it in my hands before accepting the transfer?

Hi Moriah and welcome to the community. Just refuse the transfer at your local FFL, notify Buds who will arrange pickup and once received, issue a refund or replacement option. If the transfer has already taken place, then return is not usually possible Cheers and always inspect the firearm before completing any paperwork to save major headaches!
As long as you did not go through the transfer process, you can return the firearm. If it's a simply case of ya just don't like it and there's no issues with the firearm then you may have to pay a 15% restock fee. You can just give Buds Customer Service a call at 1-859-368-0371 9am-7pm EST Mon-Fri and ask them to maybe wave it?
Good evening to you!! If you would have refused the transfer you could have sent it back for a refund. If you accepted the transfer it's now a used gun. You'd have to go through the process of making a trade/ sale to Bud's. I hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

Hi Moriah, if the gun has not yet been transferred to you, it can be returned. Original shipping charges are NOT refunded if the item is NOT found to be difective. Customers will be responsible for return shipping in these cases. These orders may be subject to a 15% restocking fee. You can call Bud's and ask for the restocking fee to be waived at 1-859-368-0371 9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri.
