Hi Albert and welcome. On a 10-inch barrel AR, a "Vertical Grip" is illegal without an NFA/Tax Stamp registration. The work around is using an 89 degree grip, its technically not vertical

Good evening to you!! Putting a vertical grip on a 10" pistol will change it and require registration as an AOW. To avoid this you can put on an angled foregrip instead. See below link for possibilities. Hope this helps. Have a good rest of your day.

Unless it is an SBR or AOW already, adding a vertical front grip to what I assume is an AR pistol based on the 10" barrel will change it's classification and require registration. This can be avoided with angled front grips like the Magpul AFG (whatever version fits the type of rail your handguard has), and those are my preference before vertical grips anyway.
